On Thursday, June 19th 2008, the Garfield Alumni
Foundation will be participating in Garfield's
annual Scholarship Ceremony. The event will
take place on the "Grand Mall" of
the campus, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
The Alumni Foundation has selected 8 scholarship
recipients, in additional to 8 more to be awarded
from Dollars for Scholars, for a total of $8000
in scholarships this
year.
Applications
for the annual Garfield Alumni Foundation
were available at the Garfield High School
College Center. Students filled out applications,
in addition to submitting personal statements
and copies of their transcripts.
